Nothing matters more in our business. A good translation states your message clearly and accurately, it reflects well on your quality products or services, it keeps you safe from liability concerns.
Preparing the Job
The project manager, a trained translator himself, reads through the document,
identifying the sections requiring special attention. These might include
technical difficulties, terminological issues and ambiguities in the original
text. The text is marked and noted for the translator's attention. If the
customer has worked with us previously, we use the company-specific terminology database we have been compiling to ensure consistency in the use of industry- and company-specific terminology.
Translation
The project manager selects the native-language translator whose professional
qualifications most closely match the requirements of the text. Once an editor/translator team has been assigned to a client, they will remain with the account in order to leverage the experience gained on behalf of the client.
Our translators are fully credentialed and hold degrees from a translator training school or from a professional school (engineering, law, medicine, etc.). They understand the copy and will render impeccably in their native language. All of our translators work into their native language, never from it. Although our translators are equipped with a terminology management system, no machine translation software is ever used.
Editing
The copy submitted by the translator is reviewed by another linguist, who
reviews it from a technical, orthographic, grammatical and syntactical point of
view. The goal is to produce a technically accurate document, which reads as
if it had been written in the language of translation. Corrections and
suggestions are sent back to the translator, who is ultimately responsible for
accepting them or not. This process promotes the continuing education of the
translator, and allows him to keep his terminology database updated.
Completion
The completed translation is delivered to the client in the format required.
Usually this takes the form of an electronic file delivered to his e-mail
address, although we will on occasion deliver a hard copy via
mail/courier or fax.
The client is encouraged to ask questions. We remain at his entire disposal for any follow-up. Complete satisfaction is our objective.
